About us

The Association for Technical Culture of Slovenia (ATCS) is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation with over 75-year-long tradition of working with young adult population in the fields of science and technology.

The ATCS’s mission is to popularise technology and science, educate and encourage innovation, creativity and research (among young people in particular); to raise awareness of the safe, economical and effective use of energy; to encourage the search for alternative resources, the care for the environment and the search for and use of contemporary people- and nature-friendly technological solutions. The ATCS’ team is experienced in addressing and encouraging young people to engage in various activities and provide their innovative proposals of solutions to various problems in society. ATCS is accepted as the main organization that cowers the field of science and technology in Slovenia. The organization cooperate with many associations in various specialized fields as well with all four Slovenian universities (University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor, University of Nova Gorica and University of Primorska).

Every year, ATCS activities attract over 60,000 children and young people, as well as 5,000 scientists, teachers, tutors, and other experts.
